The eleventh Discworld novel, and the second built around Death, is one of the easier places to walk into the series cold: the humour is wild and quick-witted, and the story stands on its own feet. Underneath the jokes about wizards and the restless dead sits a surprisingly gentle reflection on what a life leaves behind. It suits readers who want comedy with some warmth in it.

Reaper Man is a fantasy novel by British writer Terry Pratchett. Published in 1991, it is the 11th Discworld novel and the second to focus on Death. The title is a reference to Alex Cox's movie Repo Man.
