Our view
“The Fall of Hyperion” answers the questions its predecessor left hanging, and what becomes of the pilgrims is the main reason to continue. The structure changes, though: the separate tales give way to one narrator’s far-seeing dreams, which some readers find distant and disjointed. The prose can be beautiful, but the steady flow of Keats and old verse tries some readers’ patience. Not a starting point; read the first volume before this one.
