Our view
“The Truth” brings the printing press and the first newspaper to Discworld, and Pratchett has obvious fun with what news does to a city. A conspiracy around the Patrician supplies a proper mystery, and the supporting cast, above all Otto the vampire photographer, gets the best jokes. Some readers feel the comedy thins as the plot turns serious. A good pick for fans of the Ankh-Morpork books.
