Our view
The fifth Discworld novel puts Rincewind in a fairly conventional end-of-the-world story that is chiefly an excuse to look harder at wizards. Some readers praise the plot and its satisfying ending, even if the jokes strike them as thinner than elsewhere in the series. A good stop for those reading in order, not the strongest place to begin.
