Our view
“Pyramids”, the seventh Discworld novel, sends Pratchett’s humour to an ancient kingdom of kings, gods and assassins. Some readers find the story itself fairly ordinary; what lifts it for them is the generous, kindly comedy running through every scene and an evident delight in the telling. Those who come for the jokes and the warmth will be content. A light, undemanding entry in a very long series.
