Our view
“The Concrete Blonde” is a dark, tense third outing for Harry Bosch, one that puts the detective himself on trial. Readers who know the first two books like how this one builds on them and where it finds Bosch as a man. Some find the story drawn out, slow to start, and some are let down by the ending. At about five hundred pages, it is best read in series order.
