Our view
“The Talismans of Shannara” concludes “The Heritage of Shannara” and is written for readers who have followed the tetralogy from the start. Terry Brooks writes traditional quest fantasy: magic, journeys and war, in an adventurous mood with a streak of mystery. As the closing volume of four it is no place to begin; the series opens with “The Scions of Shannara”.
