Our view
“The Druid of Shannara” carries the “Heritage of Shannara” tetralogy forward with lively duels and imaginative magic. Some readers find the quest padded and the characters’ changes of heart muddled, and are jolted by sudden switches to the other heroes of the series. The second of the four books still closes on a well-handled ending.
