Our view
“The Elf Queen of Shannara” is an engaging third volume of Terry Brooks’s “The Heritage of Shannara”, built around a quest among the elves. Wren’s story holds the attention and brings a few welcome surprises. Wren herself strikes some readers as somewhat forced, and they still rank an earlier Shannara novel above this one.
