Our view
“Memory” takes Miles to his lowest point and changes his course, and it stands with the most rewarding volumes of “The Vorkosigan Saga”. Some readers describe an introspective novel with less action than its neighbours, in which character matters most and the conspiracy plot ends in a surprise. Others find it works even without the earlier books; it is the eleventh novel, though, and gains from knowing Miles already.
