Our view
“The Omen Machine” gives readers who wanted more of Richard and Kahlan a new story, picking up right where “Confessor” left off. Some readers find it thin beside the earlier novels and struggle to believe how quickly Richard’s allies turn on him. It is written for those already committed to the saga.
