Our view
“Definitely Dead” is a busy, eventful Sookie Stackhouse novel, packed with vampire politics, action and revelations about its heroine. In this sixth volume Sookie gains a new love interest and new allies, and learns something about where she comes from. Some readers suggest reading the novella about Hadley first for background, though it is not essential. The tone stays light and funny throughout.
