Our view
“Shadow Kiss” is the volume in which the Vampire Academy series deepens, finally explaining the bond between Rose and Lissa. The love story with Dimitri is what keeps some readers hooked, and the sparring between Rose and Christian adds humour. Rose herself divides opinion, the plot strikes some as easy to predict, and the ending is not to every taste. As the third book it depends on the two before it.
