“Last Sacrifice” gives the original Vampire Academy storyline a fitting, eventful close. The murder mystery and the action keep its six hundred pages moving, and some readers single out Lissa’s growth into a leader as the best of it. Others find the storyline between Rose and Adrian drawn out and the culprit’s motives too slight for the build-up, and some do not rank it with the first two books.
