Our view
“Martin the Warrior” tells the backstory of the hero behind “Redwall”, an adventure of war, quest and friendship for middle-grade readers. Some readers single out the villains, finding the feud between Badrang and Clogg both funny and believable, and value the book for showing what came before the abbey was founded. At 376 pages it is a substantial read for its age group.
