Our view

Funny and quick on its feet, “Searching for Dragons” keeps all the charm of the first Enchanted Forest book. Patricia Wrede goes on playing lightly with fairy-tale conventions, and Princess Cimorene, who lives with dragons, is if anything better company this time. Some readers who loved its predecessor like this one even more; newcomers to the “Enchanted Forest Chronicles” should begin there.
