Our view
“The Legend of Luke” is a seafaring Redwall adventure of pirates and revenge, with the series’ familiar warmth and feasts. Twelfth in publication but fourth in the inner chronology, it tells much of its story as a tale recounted within the main frame. Some readers miss the usual Redwall pattern and find the story too thin for its length. Readers already fond of the series will still find the adventure they came for.
