Our view

“The Tyrant’s Tomb” is a lively fourth volume of “The Trials of Apollo”, in which the god living as the mortal Lester keeps growing up. The adventure blends Greco-Roman myth, a quest and plenty of jokes across some 450 pages. Some readers are upset by one plot turn and relieved soon afterwards; it is best met unspoiled. One book remains; for younger fans of Riordan who have followed Apollo from the start.
