Our view

“The Tower of Nero” brings Apollo’s five-book trial to a rousing, warm-hearted close. Rick Riordan keeps the series’ mix of Greco-Roman myth, quest and friendship, and the mood is hopeful and moving. Some readers finish it already asking what he plans next for this world. As the last volume of “The Trials of Apollo”, it rests on everything before it and is no place to begin.
