Our view
“The 5th Horseman”, the fifth Women’s Murder Club novel, gives Lindsay Boxer a dark, tense case that runs on several threads at once. Some readers welcome its blend of detective work and courtroom drama, and a story shared more evenly among the leads than last time. Others find the prose clumsy, especially in the love scenes. Readers new to the club should go back to its first case.
