“2nd Chance” brings back the heroines of the “Women’s Murder Club” series in a dark, briskly paced thriller. Their return is a large part of the appeal, and the case is a twisted one. Some readers find the structure too close a repeat of “1st to Die” and the outcome predictable. Those who enjoyed the first book for its pace will get the same here.
