Our view
“Nemesis”, the last Miss Marple novel Christie wrote, lets its detective think a whole case through, and watching her do it is the pleasure. A crowd of characters arrives early, but it soon becomes clear that not all of them need remembering. Some readers find that the telling sometimes doubles back on itself and that her insights owe more to intuition than to deduction. Even a reader who guesses the culprit will want to see how she gets there.
