Our view

“Death in the Clouds” is a neat closed-circle Poirot: a passenger dies in mid-flight and the killer has to be someone on board. Poirot is on the case from the first pages, Japp gets more room than usual, and the interplay among the suspects carries the plot. Some readers find it dry, closer to an exercise than a story, and some think the romance shallow.
