Our view

A classic Christie murder mystery, “Sparkling Cyanide” shifts between several characters’ points of view to good effect. Some readers feel that the solution arrives without any fair clue pointing to it, and that two of the characters end up with little to do. For those who like a traditional whodunit of moderate length, it is a dependable choice.
