Our view
“The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side” is a cosy, cleverly clued Miss Marple mystery. In St Mary Mead, Christie lays the clues in plain view, and the answer looks obvious only once it has been explained. Some readers are fond of Miss Marple here and of the characters around her. For some, though, it is slower than other Christie novels, with a fairly simple plot.
