Our view
This novella is a companion piece, not an entry point: it revisits the events of the original Mistborn trilogy from an unexpected angle, through a character readers already know well. Its pleasure lies in seeing familiar moments reframed, with old questions answered and new ones opened. Read it only after the main Mistborn novels, since it depends on them entirely and gives much of them away.
