Our view
“The Road to Oz” is a light, playful Oz story that follows Dorothy Gale on her fourth visit to the magic land. It is the fifth book in L. Frank Baum’s series. Some readers enjoy its new travelling companions and its puns and word games; others feel this road trip barely amounts to a story and that the newcomers add little. At 132 pages, it is an easy read for children and series completists.
