Our view
“The Prisoner of Limnos” is a satisfying sixth Penric and Desdemona story that mixes adventure with romance. When Nikys’s mother is taken hostage, she and Penric set out to rescue her, and new faces join the series along the way. For some readers its plot is stronger than usual for these stories and the island setting a pleasure; others value most how it brings the thread between Penric and Nikys to a resting point.
