Our view

“The Kingdom of Gods” closes “The Inheritance Trilogy” by going where readers do not expect, through Sieh’s eyes. The prose and the world draw praise, and some readers find the story deeply touching. Others find this the messiest of the three books, juggling more plot threads and characters than it can handle and returning to the same revelation more than once. It is the conclusion, and reads as one: the first two volumes come first.
