Our view
“Ramona the Brave” is an honest children’s novel that takes a young girl’s strong feelings entirely seriously. The third book about Ramona Quimby follows her and her classmates into first grade, with plenty of family life at home. Some adults who reread it find its emotions as sharp as ever. At under two hundred pages, it works well read aloud or as an early chapter book for a confident young reader.
