Our view
“Ramona Quimby, Age 8” is a warm family story that works well read aloud, for a parent and child together. Beverly Cleary follows Ramona into third grade at a new school, with her father back at college and her afternoons spent getting along with Willa Jean. It catches the small pressures of family life when the youngest is expected to cope on her own.
