Our view

“Prodigy” is the middle volume of the “Legend” trilogy, and for some readers a clear step up from the first book. It keeps the blend of war, dystopian politics and first love, and June in particular changes a great deal here. Not everyone is persuaded by the central couple, and some find the Colonies hard to follow. Dark and moving, it only works after “Legend”.
