Our view

“The Death Cure” closes the main Maze Runner story with the answers the earlier books withheld, and some readers find the resolution satisfying. Others feel it falls short of its two predecessors: the pace sags in places and the characters hold the attention less firmly than before. It is a book for those already invested in the series who want to see how it ends; it makes little sense read on its own.
