Our view
“The Bear and the Dragon” is Clancy at his largest scale: a techno-thriller of over a thousand pages about war between Russia and China. President Jack Ryan stands at its centre in this direct sequel to “Executive Orders”, the author’s longest novel. Some readers find its politics still relevant today, though for them it drags in places.
