Our view

“Spiral” takes the story begun in “Ring” somewhere new, recasting its curse as a medical puzzle with a supernatural heart. The novel deals with what follows the events of the earlier book, seen through a new central character. Some readers find it lighter on outright horror than its predecessor, yet gripping in how dark it turns by the end. It is best read straight after “Ring”.
