Our view

“Redemption Ark” is a dark, thoughtful space opera on a grand scale and the second volume of its series. Nevil Clavain’s story goes on here, while the returning Ilia Volyova, charming and single-minded, is a highlight for some readers. The same readers rank it below the opening volume and find her weapons a little less fascinating than before. Well over eight hundred pages, and no place to begin.
