Our view

“Police” is a dark, twisting tenth Harry Hole novel that holds its grip to the last page. Jo Nesbø layers in a wealth of detail without letting the plot lose momentum, and the turns keep coming. Some readers rank it the best of the series so far. Coming this late in the sequence, it gives most to those who already know Harry and his past.
