Our view
“Hit List” puts the case back at the centre of the Anita Blake series, with Edward at Anita’s side. A serial killer is staging gruesome murders across the Pacific Northwest, and the local police, suspecting monsters, call in the two marshals. Some readers enjoy its mix of action, humour and character, with little sex, though they feel the climax arrives in a hurry. Fans who prefer the plot first will welcome it.
