Our view
“Bullet” is the nineteenth Anita Blake novel, a blend of horror, mystery and erotica written for readers already deep in the series. Some readers welcome a return to crime-solving, with the sex scenes better woven into the plot than in recent volumes. Some also find the book thin, closer to a novella than a novel, or padded with filler before the plot moves. Newcomers should start much earlier in the series.
