Our view
“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck”, the eighth book of the series, gets its comedy from leaving Greg without his best friend. Rowley drops him, new friends prove hard to find, and Greg ends up letting a Magic 8 Ball make his decisions, at school included. It is a short diary about school, family and friendship, written for children who already follow Greg, and some adults who grew up with him look in again.
