Our view
Charm and a convincing coming-of-age story make “Dragondrums” an easy Pern novel to like. This short book for younger readers is the sixth of “Dragonriders of Pern”, and some readers value the way Piemur’s maturing is shown step by step. The dated attitudes that bothered some of them in earlier volumes of the series are, they report, less in evidence here.
