Our view

“Crescendo” is paranormal romance for teenagers, and it lives on the pull between Nora and Patch. The second of four “Hush, Hush” novels, it speaks first to those who liked the opening book for its stubborn, self-reliant heroine and for a couple whose differences somehow fit. Angels, demons and first love fill a little over four hundred pages; newcomers would do better to begin with volume one.
