“Untethered Sky is somehow a good meld of dark and happy. This was my introduction to Fonda Lee and I enjoyed the author's writing. The story had good pacing and at times I was surprised where it went. A quick and enjoyable read.”
“A very well-crafted novella focused squarely on the story of Ester and Zahra. A lot sadder and more introspective than I expected from the premise of roc-training manticore hunters, but it worked beautifully. (That's not to say that I wouldn't love a more classic adventure story about a ruhker.)”
