Our view
“Untamed” is where “House of Night” picks up speed: a quick fourth volume that puts Zoey and her friends in real danger. Its twists keep coming, Aphrodite gains new depth, and the half-raven creatures are properly chilling. Some readers find the writing juvenile or clumsy and the heroine increasingly grating, and say so while reaching for the next book anyway. Fast, easy excitement for those already in the series.
