Our view
“Touching Darkness” continues Scott Westerfeld’s Midnighters trilogy and is best read straight after “The Secret Hour”. Jessica and her fellow Midnighters, Rex, Melissa, Desdemona and Jonathan, face the Darklings, the dangerous beings who live in the Blue Hour. Some readers find the premise intriguing but are put off as secrecy and angst start to divide the group. “Blue Noon” completes the trilogy.
