Our view

“Time of the Twins” opens the “Dragonlance Legends” trilogy as a character-led fantasy about two very different brothers. With the warrior Caramon, the mage Raistlin and the cleric Crysania at its centre, the smaller cast leaves room for character development, and the twins come to embody the struggle between good and evil. Some readers who dislike time travel enjoy the second half less. It ends on a cliffhanger that leads straight into the next volume.
