Our view

“The Thousand Orcs” is a strong, war-driven opening to “The Hunter’s Blades Trilogy”. R. A. Salvatore cuts Drizzt Do’Urden off from his companions as orcs, giants and a handful of drow set out to destroy all before them. Some readers find the opening chapters slow but welcome Drizzt back at his best once the story gathers pace. Long-time followers of Drizzt will get the most from it.
