Our view

“The Two Swords” closes “The Hunter’s Blades” trilogy with the well-staged battles that readers of Drizzt’s adventures come for. Salvatore’s combat scenes and his command of Forgotten Realms lore remain the main draw. Some readers note that main characters always seem to survive and find the resolution vague, and they wish he took more risks. It suits longtime Drizzt fans more than newcomers.
