Our view
“The Sight” makes an engaging start to a new arc of Erin Hunter’s “Warriors”, told through the eyes of young apprentice cats. Its strength lies in those viewpoints, above all the prickly Jaypaw’s. A few passages strike some readers as awkward and the jibes about house cats as wearing; others had hoped for more fantasy and a clearer aim. It works best for young readers who already know the forest clans.
