Our view
“The Sicilian” is a gripping companion to “The Godfather”, built on the life of the bandit Salvatore Giuliano. Mario Puzo ties the story to his most famous novel, bringing some of its characters back, in a dark and brooding mood. A few readers rank it as his best work and could not stop reading; for others, the sense of fate hanging over the story is what stays.
